These ankle boots look great! They fit me good and are comfortable to walk in. I loved the boot belts and the chains.Here are the issues I have had:The chains drooped so badly, under the heel, that I could not walk in the boots. I had to take these boots to a shoe repair shop and pay $12.00 to have the chains taken up, so they fit tighter under the heel. Unfortunately, the chains are still drooping, though not as bad. They still are not tight, under the heel, as I had wanted. They are only about 1/4" from hitting the ground! Meaning, when you walk with these on, expect the chains to hit the ground.While walking in my boots (luckily at home), one of the boot belts fell off! These boot belts are loose and will not stay on. They can't be adjusted, because there is no buckle on the boot straps. That's one of the reasons I loved the look - the chain, the boot belt and of course, the lovely silver tip, at the toe of each boot.Negatives: The chains are way too loose and droop horribly at the heel, where you could possibly walk on the chain! The boot belts are not snug and will come off, while walking. This has been MY experience. I just got these boots last week.Positives: The boots are really nice looking, they fit me, they are comfortable and I just love the look. Be prepared to have to remove the adorable boot belt though, and also, be prepared to take these to a repair shop, to shorten the chains. Better yet, save yourself time, money and frustration, and just remove the boot belts altogether. (These boots are not leather. They are pleather, which is fine with me).I really wish the makers of these boots would improve the design of the boot belt and the length of the chains. It's awful. Good news for me! I had another pair of old boots that had a very nice boot belt with an adjustable buckle. I tried those on my boots and they fit great, with the chain now snug under the heel, where it should be! My suggestion would be, look for a nice boot strap with an adjustable buckle and buy that. Don't do like I did, and waste $12.00 to have the chains taken up. The shoe repair shops are not good at that, plus, these boots chains are not made to be easily removed.I would recommend these, just know what issues you're likely going to have.
